BRIEF-
TO-
BROADCAST.
The seven-phase framework that has shipped 1,847 projects since 2014 — and cut revision rounds by 64%.
Most video projects don't die in the edit. They die in the third week of email threads no one owns.
A brief lands in a producer's inbox on a Tuesday. By Friday there are four drafts of a treatment in circulation, three freelancers who haven't been briefed the same way, and a Slack channel called final-v4-USE-THIS-ONE. The shoot happens anyway — because someone paid a deposit. The footage is fine. The story is broken. The cuts take eleven weeks. The brand director stops returning calls.
We have inherited that wreckage more times than we can count, and we built Brief-to-Broadcast specifically to make it impossible on our end.
The framework is not a sales diagram. It is a contract — between our producers, our directors, our DPs, our editors, and the client who is trusting us with their quarter. Seven phases. Each phase has an owner, a deliverable, and an exit criterion. No phase begins until the previous one is signed. No invoice is sent until the final phase is delivered.
That is what a production process is supposed to be. It is what most of them are not.
The Seven Phases.
Every Moustache TV engagement — from a 15-second social cut to a four-minute brand anthem — passes through the same seven gates. Below, the four phases that shape the work before a single frame is shot.

01
Discover
3 — 5 daysA senior creative producer sits with your brand and marketing leads for two working sessions. We extract the business outcome the footage must drive, the audience it must move, and the single sentence the film has to earn. We leave with a signed one-page strategy brief. Nothing is shot before that page exists.

- Reference Reel (curated, not assembled)

02
Script
5 — 7 daysA director writes the treatment in narrative form — not slide form. We deliver a director's narrative, a shot-list, and a working script for VO or on-camera talent. You read it once. If it does not sound like a film someone would actually want to watch, we rewrite it. No extra invoice.

Pre-Visualize
4 — 6 daysBefore any crew is booked, we build the film in frames: location scouts with photo reports, storyboards for hero beats, and a locked production schedule with call sheets. You see the film on paper before you see it on screen. Surprises on shoot day are engineered out by Wednesday of the week prior.

Shoot
1 — 3 shoot daysOur in-house crew — 22 full-time producers, directors, DPs, and editors — executes on the locked schedule with cinema-grade kit: RED Komodo and Sony FX9 packages, Cooke S4 glass, and Movi Pro stabilization. Dailies are uploaded to your private portal each evening with frame-level commenting open. By wrap, you have already seen every setup.

Edit
4 — 6 daysAn editor assigned to the project from Day One assembles the locked selects into a rough cut inside one week. You receive a private link with timestamped frame-level comments. We do not "send v2 and v3" — we send one cut, take your comments in writing, and return a single refined cut.

06
Finish
3 — 5 daysColor grade in DaVinci Resolve with a senior colorist, original score or licensed track, mix in stereo and 5.1 surround where required, and motion-graphics pass for any animated elements. Every master is delivered in the codec and aspect ratio your distribution channels actually need — not just "a 16:9 file."

07
Deliver
1 dayFinal masters uploaded to your portal in every format required — broadcast, social, vertical, square — with a written cut-sheet mapping each master to its platform. We archive the project and raw footage for seven years. If you need a 6-second cut in eighteen months, the assets are still there.
Average end-to-end turnaround: 9 business days for social-first packages · 21 business days for brand anthems · zero revision-round drift because the gates do not allow it.
- 64% FEWER REVISION ROUNDS
- 9 DAYS AVERAGE SOCIAL-FIRST TURNAROUND
- 22 IN-HOUSE CREW, ZERO SUBCONTRACTORS
- 94% CLIENT RETENTION SINCE 2019
